The worlds perfect water bottle
I almost had a panic attack when I thought they stopped making these. I love my water bottle. It has a sturdy place to attach a carabiner on top, and I love the fact that the bottom comes open for extra thorough cleanings. Strong enough to put up with all of my abuse as I drag it from work site to festival to campground. Most importantly the design of the drinking spout is easy to clean, unlike some other previous bottles I’ve had that collected grime in all of the nooks and crannies. This one is easy to get to all the spots and doesn’t have an annoying straw, or sippy cup mouthpiece like other brands. . The mouthpiece is wide enough that you can chug a lot of water at a go, the top unscrews so you can add ice cubes if you want to, it stays insulated forever. The metal is thick enough that even if you drop it 100,000 times it retains its shape and doesn’t dent, and the black coating has barely chipped even after years of use. The rubber band that makes it pop open broke on mine after years of aforementioned abuse, but was easily replaced with a rubber band. I have mine covered in stickers and will probably buy a couple more as backups because I will be truly devastated if this company ever goes out of business.

Great Product, terrible support – SEE UPDATE BELOW!!
Worked great. Fairly durable. I like that it fits in a standard cup holder in cars center console. Being able to remove the bottom of the bottle makes cleaning easy and thorough. I’ve had for two years. The lid mechanism stopped working and I reached out to support. I created a case as suggested on their website. Wrote up the issue, took pictures, uploaded and created a ticket. I only received the response that was auto-generated upon ticket creation. After about a month of waiting, I submitted a follow up email requesting status for repair/replacement and still no response. As stated, product is great. However, if your bottle breaks after the return period, you are out of luck.UPDATE: There was a miscommunication between customer service and myself. It is since been corrected and I’m enjoying my product once again! I’ve updated to five stars to reflect customer service and product! I will be purchasing a couple more in the coming weeks for valentines!

Beware of unscrewing the bottom cap
Edit 2023-06-05 I *have* to comment on the insulating capabilities of this bottle (and raise my 4-star rating to 5-stars).I usually don’t use ice because I’m not a big ice person. But yesterday was 90°F and very humid. We were outdoors setting up for, and attending, a grad party. So I filled the bottle with as much ice as I could fit & then topped off with tap water. It’s around 22-23 hours later AND THERE’S STILL ICE in my bottle. I’ve refilled the water at least 5 times since the original ice fill. This bottle is crazy good at keeping ice going. I kept running out of water to drink because the ice was just not melting. Also everyone who saw me add ice was fascinated that the bottom unscrewed for ice filling and cleaning. They all said that was an awesome feature, and several wanted to know where I got the bottle.Original review:I am what I call a “unconscious drinker” meaning I habitually grab for whatever drink is on my desk whenever I switch doing something. If I just wrote some code, and hit run, absentmindedly grab a bottle and drink. Fire off and email? Yep a drink without thinking about it. This wouldn’t be a problem except those drinks tended to be bottles of soft drinks. One day I received a plastic 750ml bottle from work that I loved. It was the perfect size for me, and fit under the water filter at work. Most importantly it didn’t have a straw or tiny sports bottle pull up spout. The opening was a flip-top with a wide spout that I could get a good chug from. I went from drinking soda all day to crushing my water intake each day.But plastic doesn’t last long. Especially when dropped a few too many times on the pavement. So I searched for another 750ml bottle I could love, and found this Zulu bottle. Overall I am happy with it, but there are some trade offs over my beloved company-branded-free-swag-bottle.Pros:750ml is a happy place for me on volume. Keeps me from having to refill as often, but isn’t so big that it’s heavy to carry around. The uniform diameter fits in my vehicle’s cupholder (old bottle did not). The push button flip top has a soft silicone spout the I can get good gulps of water. The outer coating is slightly textured making it a bit easier to hold while drinking. It keeps my water frosty cold until I have to refill. The stainless steel interior means no worry about plastic leeching stuff into my water.Trade-offs (Not Cons, just things different from my trusty old bottle)Since I drink absentmindedly I often pick up the bottle to find it’s empty. I got used to seeing the level in my clear plastic bottle. This meant it was easier to monitor consumed amounts and refill needed at a glance. This bottle cannot be see through so I often find it empty at inopportune times. The height is too tall for the filtered water dispenser at work. Wouldn’t be an issue except I’m 6’3″ and I have to stoop over & hold the bottle to fill it instead of just sitting it on the shelf and holding the button. Very minor, and only affects me.Cons:I loved the concept of the removable bottom for cleaning or adding larger ice chunks. It makes rinsing out the inside a breeze. But the cap’s thread is plastic and the bottle’s thread is steel. This makes cross threading fairly easy. And the o-ring seal is small. So I had issues with a leak for a while until I removed, and replaced, the bottom cap. I can see the possibility of overtightening the cap as well which would deform it, and could cause a leak. The flip-top’s button is very small in height. This makes it hard to activate if you don’t grip just right. For those of us with bigger hands that’s a problem. Also the flip top is a hard plastic. This will eventually get broken I’m sure. I’m sure this is to keep production costs down over having milled/cast metal tops (or it could be a planned obsolescence thing who knows). Hopefully replacement caps are available down the line.Overall the cons aren’t nearly enough for me to shy away from highly recommending the bottle.

Great Water Bottle!
I seem to be obsessed with finding the perfect, insulated water bottle and I think I may have found the closest to perfect I think I’m gonna get. What really sets the Zulu bottle aside is it has a unique second opening from the bottom making cleaning absurdly simple, especially compared to some of the big ones with small openings at the top where it’s damn near impossible to reach the bottom while trying to thoroughly clean. This feature alone made me want to order one. But that’s not all, as the infomercials would say. The lid is equally cool in that not only will it close and open easily, you can actually lock the lid so it either stays closed or open. Trust me, if you’ve ever transported a water bottle that “accidentally” opened in a backpack or some other place and drenched all kinds of things, you will immediately appreciate the innovation going on here with something so simple as a lid-lock.So far it’s kept my ice intact after at least 5 hours – which is a far cry from keeping it icy for 24, but in my experience, I have yet to actually find a double-walled bottle actually keep ice for more than maybe 15 hours tops, no matter how much you paid for it. They may exist, but so far I have yet to see one.On top of it all, it looks good, too. Love mine.

I went on a girls trip this week and this was the water bottle I used. In 29°F my water stay cold all day. It was awesome I can’t recommend this enough! Plus the removable bottom makes it so easy to put ice into and to clean.

Great bottle.

This is my 2nd Zulu ace bottle. First lasted 1+ year. Mouth piece became rough and brownish. Like the rubber deteriorated. This is my 2nd one. Worse! Silicon mouth piece disintegrates just after 7 months! And they don’t sell replacement caps. I really like this bottle. But quality is bad. Not sure what’s the size effects of using a mouthpiece with this rubber condition!

Have purchased multiple of this drink bottle in the past. Unfortunately this one is leaking. Only used a couple of times.
